CSUN’s Spring Fest happens at the beginning of the spring semester to welcome students back. Hosted by the University Student Union (USU), the Spring Fest offered great food, games and activities, all while getting connected to resources that the USU has to offer.

Alannah Francisco, the Student Events Assistant at University Student Union, said students enjoyed carnival games like Squirrel Throwing, “where you have a plushy that you have to toss into a net. If you make it inside the net, you get to choose a plushy, like a teddy bear.” She said another game, the ring toss, “sounds easy but it’s actually really hard and students came back to try again.”

But the event wasn’t just for fun. As Francisco explained, the Spring Fest is an annual open house in the spring that allows students to discover a wide range of resources. Among those resources was Valera Nest, a facility that “offers Matty’s Closet, so when students are preparing for an interview or need business clothing, Matty’s Closet offers that.”
