Super Bowl LX was shaping up to be a memorable one even before game day. For one, it marks the diamond year celebration for the big game, taking place at Leviâs Stadium in Santa Clara, the same venue where the 50th Super Bowl was held a decade ago.
It also marked the first time in history that the halftime show would be performed primarily in Spanish after it was announced that Bad Bunny would be performing.
âIf you didnât understand what I just said, you have four months to learn [spanish]â joked Bad Bunny, the stage name of musician Benito Antonio MartĂnez Ocasio, during his Saturday Night Live opening monologue during the season 51 premiere on Oct. 4, 2025.
Besides the game and halftime show, viewers also took to social media to talk about their favorite moments during the commercial breaks, which many noted had an overall nostalgic air to them.
Here are some of the top moments from this yearâs Super Bowl, according to social media users.
That Bunny was AMAZING. Elmo thinks he should be called Good Bunny! Elmo loves you, Mr. Good Bunny!

Leading up to the halftime performance, it was anticipated by many that Bad Bunny would use the televised event to make a political statement. While the artist didnât directly state âICE out,â like he did in his Grammys acceptance speech last weekend, he did utilize the message of his speech during his performance.
During the final song, Bad Bunny was seen walking out of the stage area, football in hand, as dancers followed behind him with various flags of different countries and territories from both North and South America. Behind him on the Jumbotron at Leviâs Stadium read âThe only thing more powerful than hate is love,â the same phrase he said as he accepted the Grammy for Best MĂşsica Urbana Album for âDeBĂ TiRAR MĂĄS FOToS.â Additionally, the singer held out the football to the screen for only a second, showcasing the message written on it: âTogether, we are America.â

During the opening song, Bad Bunny was seen handing an engagement ring to a man who then used the ring to propose to the woman in front of him. Shortly after, that same couple was seen during the wedding portion of the performance as the bride and groom.
Bad Bunnyâs reps went on to confirm to multiple sources that it was a real couple who actually got married.
According to NBC News Sports reporter Rohan Nadkarni, the moment came to be after â[the couple] invited Bad Bunny to their wedding and in turn he invited them to get married during his performance.â
This is incredibly cool â A source familiar with Bad Bunnyâs performance tonight tells me that the couple in the halftime show got married for real.

Viewers were delighted when Lady Gaga appeared midway during the halftime show to perform âDie With a Smile.â The pair had been seen together last week during the Grammy Awards.
Bad Bunny has been open about his appreciation for Lady Gaga and her music in the past. âIn that moment where I feel sad, itâs âChromaticaâ [by] Lady Gaga. That album makes me feel more happy. When she dropped that album, I was in a really good moment, enjoying my life. I love that album,â said Bad Bunny in a 2020 interview with E! News when asked about the soundtrack of his life. The artist was also spotted wearing a âChromaticaâ while voting in the Puerto Rica election earlier that year.

Additionally, Ricky Martin was featured during the halftime performance where he sang âLO QUE LE PASOĚ A HAWAiiâ off of Bad Bunnyâs award winning album âDeBĂ TiRAR MĂĄS FOToS.â
But the singers werenât the only surprise guests the Puerto Rican artist had in store. Viewers also spotted Pedro Pascal, Karol G, Cardi B, Jessica Alba, Alix Earle and Young Miko dancing on stage.
But what was possibly the biggest cameo of the night for Angelenos, was seeing Los Angelesâ very own Villaâs Tacos featured during the halftime show. The local spot took to social media to share their appreciation, âWe sold our first taco in the front yard of my grandmaâs house in Highland Park more than 8 years ago & I feel that every taco along the way, brought me here. Today. For this moment!â
@villastacoslosangeles WHO SAW VILLAâS TACOS ON @BADBUNNYPR 2026 SUPERBOWL HALFTIME SHOW?!?! VILLAâS TACOS IS ALWAYS IN THE BUILDING, BUT TODAY, VILLAâS TACOS WAS IN @BADBUNNYPRâs SUPERBOWL HALFTIME SHOW BUILDING!!!!!! GOD IS GOOD. GOD IS GREAT!!!!! I want to give a huge thank you to @badbunnypr for hand selecting me & giving me an opportunity to represent my people, my culture, my family & my business. This Super Bowl halftime performance goes down as one of, if not the biggest Super Bowl halftime performance of all time & what an absolute honor it is to have been part of such a special moment! We sold our first taco in the front yard of my grandmaâs house in Highland Park more than 8 years ago & I feel that every taco along the way, brought me here. Today. For this moment! I couldnât have sold that 1st taco, if my parents didnât make the difficult decision to leave their homeland for a better life & immigrate to the U.S. This one is for all the immigrants who paved the way before us to make this moment possible. Villaâs Tacos is a product of immigrants. As a 1st generation Mexican-America born & raised in LA, It was an honor to represent my raza & all the taqueros of the world by bringing my taco cart to @badbunnypr âs Super Bowl LX 2026 Halftime show. Thanks for the Piragua compa Benito! Saludos a todos de Puerto Rico. Saludos a toda la raza de MexicĂł. SALUDOS A TODOS LOS LATINOS!!!!! What a way to kick off the year! God is good. God is GREAT!!! ALL GLORY TO MY LORD & SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. #VillasTacosLosAngeles #TheBunnyBowl2026 #SuperBowlLX #badbunny #immigrants

When it came to this yearâs Super Bowl commercials, millennial nostalgia seemed to be the overall theme of the night as Threads user @teewatterss pointed out âif America runs on Dunkin then Super Bowl ads run on nostalgia.â
Which was also a fitting sentiment given the Dunkinâ Donuts ad starring Ben Affleck featured a slew of 80s and 90s television comedy stars under the guise of âGood Will Dunkinâ,â the âoriginalâ sitcom version of the premise.
While the cameos of the actors was fun at first, including Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Jason Alexander, Ted Danson, Alfonso Ribeiro, Jaleel White, and Jasmine Guy, viewers werenât sold on the editing used to de-age the actors back to their early career glory.
That Dunkinâ commercial wouldâve been so much better if they just used everyoneâs current face⌠for all we know everyone was ai generated pic.twitter.com/GpuP4wQzy4

The Backstreet Boys had two commercial moments during game day. The first was a T-Mobile ad that was met with approval from fans online.

The only thing Iâve taken from the first half of the Super Bowl is that the Backstreet Boys are cool again. The world is healing. That is all.
â The King (@YourBudde) February 9, 2026
The second however, was a karaoke bit for their song âEverybody (Backstreetâs Back).â What started out as a fun sing along moment, had viewers pausing after realizing the lyrics had been changed to work for a Crypto commercial for Coinbase.

Additionally, Lady Gagaâs rendition of âWonât You Be My Neighborâ from âMister Rogerâs Neighborhoodâ for Rocket and Redfinâs advertisement left many emotional. The minute long commercial focused on families becoming neighbors and not connecting. During a storm, the dog of one familyâs daughter runs away, thankfully to be found by girl next door. During the tearful hug between the two girls the text on screen reads âAmerica could use a neighbor just like you.â
