Griffith Park Run â Half Marathon and 5K Walk/Run: The eventâs half marathon (13.1 mile) route covers trails at Griffith Park, but start and ends on a flat area, 7:30 a.m. Feb. 1 (line-up is no later than 7:15 a.m.). The 5K Run/Walk is âscenic and flat,â and participants may register their dogs â for the first time â for this course, 10 a.m. Feb. 1 (line-up is no later than 9:45 a.m.). President Ronald Reagan 115th Birthday Commemoration â Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum: The event begins with a music prelude by the Camp Pendleton Marine Division Band, 10:30 a.m. Feb. 6. The Commanding General at United States Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton conducts the 11 a.m. ceremony that includes a chaplain, a color guard, the placing of an official White House wreath at Ronald Reaganâs grave site, a 21-gun salute, and keynote remarks by former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy.
